Ms. Winters received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she was on the Dean's List. In 2002, Ms. Winters received her law degree from Hofstra University School of Law, where she served as President of the Gaelic Law Society; Social Chairperson of the Hofstra Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta and Co-Editor of The Conscience, a Law School Newspaper. She subsequently was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2003 after passing the New York State Bar Exam on her first attempt.
Ms. Winters has proved to be a powerful advocate for her clients. She is proficient in all areas of Matrimonial Law, Family Law and Real Estate. She has handled countless matters in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as in the five (5) boroughs of New York City. Ms. Winters had a decision published in the New York Law Journal [Marini v. Gibson, 4/2/2004 NYLJ 22 (col.1)], as a Decision of Interest, where she successfully argued a motion to dismiss.
Ms. Winters has perfected numerous successful appeals before the Appellate Division, Second Department and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and the Nassau County Women's Bar Association.
In addition to Matrimonial and Family Law, Ms. Winters handles adoptions (agency and private placement), name changes, real estate transactions, probate matters and various other aspects of the law.
